FREEDOM'S JUST ANOTHER WORD...

THEIR “NET” GROWS AND GROWS, AND IT’S NOT THE INTERNET I’M TALKING ABOUT!

The one remaining outlet that can carry the truth is in danger of manipulation by big business.

BUT REP. MIKE SIMPSON voted against net neutrality this week.

“As millions of us raised our voices to defend the free and open Internet2, Internet operators like AT&T, Verizon, and Comcast spent millions lobbying the House of Representatives to kill Net Neutrality. A majority of the House members caved—voting for a telecommunications law that would give these companies more control over what you see and do online.” ...Move On

Call or e-mail Senators Craig and Crapo and tell them you expect support for the Snowe-Dorgan Internet Freedom Preservation Act (S. 2917) before next week.

As the caissons go rolling along...The Supreme Court voted 5-4 in support of no-knock searches by ruling that “judges cannot throw out evidence collected by police who have search warrants but do not properly announce their arrival.” And we all know how diligent this administration is about getting proper “search warrants.”

Also this week, forget about accountability by phone companies who broke the law and released YOUR records because:

YOUR government sued the New Jersey Attorney General's office to prevent it from asking telephone companies if they gave YOUR records to the National Security Agency.

It’s the standard “grave harm to national security" excuse.

“Any nation that thinks more of its ease and comfort than its freedom will soon lose its freedom; and the ironical thing about it is that it will lose its ease and comfort too.” W. Somerset Maugham
